Terms of Service

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. By accessing or using the Smart Storage website, application, or software-as-a-service platform (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. About Smart Storage

Smart Storage ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") is a software-as-a-service company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, operating at smartstorage.me. Contact us at hello@smartstorage.me.

2. Acceptance and Eligibility

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. The Service is for users aged 13 and older. Users aged 13–18 require parental or guardian consent.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us immediately at hello@smartstorage.me if you discover unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. By selecting a plan, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of any price changes.

You may cancel at any time through Settings. Before cancelling, you will be prompted to export your data. Upon cancellation, all your inventory data and photos are permanently deleted from our servers.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes, to upload harmful content, to infringe third-party rights, to distribute malware, to attempt unauthorized access, to scrape or harvest data, or to reverse engineer the Service.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain all intellectual property rights in content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Smart Storage a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, and distribute it solely for operating the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Stripe and other third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and technology comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to Smart Storage. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes only.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMART STORAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FEES PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR CAD $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smart Storage from claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
